VALLEY — Mr. Larry Jones, 74, of Valley passed away on Friday, March 8, 2019 at Talladega Health and Rehab in Talladega.  He was born on March 3, 1945 in Langdale.

Mr. Jones is survived by his siblings, Carlton Eugene (Nannie) Jones, Eleanor Crowder, Debra Scott and Judy Mitchell; his step children, Vicki Pritchett, Chris Pritchett, Scott Pritchett, and Lacey White; 16 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Tricia “Pat” Jones; parents Jimmy and Ethel Jones; a brother, Willie Jones, and sisters Patricia Crowder and Brenda Gore.

Mr. Jones was a dedicated and hardworking man. He was a big supporter of the U.S. Army and enjoyed going to watch live wrestling.  He loved his mother and to spend time with children.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at 2 p.m. EDT at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley.  The Rev. Rusty Letson will officiate.  The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
