Mrs. Harriett Shivers

ROANOKE, Ala. — Funeral services for Harriett Shivers, 71, of Roanoke will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2019, at 2 p.m. CDT at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Derek Farr officiating. Burial will follow at Heritage Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family received friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 20, 2019.
Mrs. Shivers passed away on Monday, March 18, 2019, at her home.
Survivors include her mother, Billie Jo Henderson Pike of Roanoke; two daughters, Melissa Hughes of Roanoke and Gena Barber of Valley; sisters Rosemary Adams (Lamar Hand) of Standing Rock, Lynn Williamson (Melvin) of Valley, and Wanda Hammond of Griffin; one brother, David Wayne Noles (Susie) of Franklin; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Waldrep, Shane Adams, Wesley Moon, Slae Hand, Brandon Kelley, Jonah Nolen and Glenn Shiflett.
A LaGrange, Georgia native, Mrs. Shivers was born August 16, 1947, the daughter of Ambrose Wayne Noles and Billie Jo Henderson Noles. She was a member of Heritage Baptist Church and had been employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
She was preceded in death by her birth father; stepfather, Willie R. Pike; husband, Eugene Paul Hjort and husband, Steven Wayne Shivers.
