Sheriff’s Reports

LaFAYETTE — Seven people were arrested in Chambers County over the weekend. According to Chambers County Sheriff’s Office reports,

Jarrett McCullough, 29, of Lanett has been charged on a grand jury indictment for the unlawful distribution and furnishing of a controlled substance;

Donna Watkins, 36, of Cusseta has been charged with failure to pay for driving under the influence;

Brian Johnson, 40, of Valley has been charged with failure to appear in court to answer a charge of not making child support payments, failure to pay – criminal mischief, second degree, and promoting prison contraband, second degree;

Destiny Trammell, 22, of Gainesville, Ga. has been charged with FTA – possession of marijuana, second degree;

Larry Brown, 53, of LaFayette has been charged with DUI;

Asa Davis, 38, of Valley has been charged with failure to pay child support, and

a 16-year-old juvenile has been charged with robbery, first degree, theft of property, fourth degree, burglary, first degree, and assault, third degree.

There were 158 inmates in the Chambers County jail Monday morning.

Lanett Reports

LANETT — Nine people were arrested in Lanett over the weekend. According to Lznett Police Department reports,

James Heard, 45, of LaGrange, Ga. has been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia’

Keavis Sands, 20, of Lanett has been charged with possession of marijuana, second degree;

Karin Cox, 19, of Lanett has been charged with possession of marijuana, second degree;

Trentavious Avery, 23, of Killeen, Texas has been charged with possession of marijuana, second degree, and possession of drug paraphernalia;

Joshua McCormick, 21, of Valley has been charged with FTA – traffic;

Michael Little, 51, of LaFayette has been charged with DUI – alcohol;

Christopher Summers, 29. of Valley has been charged with possession of marijuana, second degree;

Sylvester Brown, 71, of Lanett has been charged with bail jumping, second degree and

Taylor Darbie, 32, of Valley has been charged with bail jumping, second degree.

In incidents being investigated by Lanett officers, identity theft was reported on the 1500 block of 30th Court SW, harassing communications was reported on the 600 block of South 2nd Avenue, theft by deception, third degree, was reported on the 1400 block of South Gilmer Avenue and theft of lost property was reported on the 2300 block of South Broad Avenue.

VALLEY — Seven people were arrested in Valley over the weekend. According to Valley Police Department reports,

Joshua Matthew McCormick, 21, of Valley has been charged with possession of marijuana, second degree, and possession of an altered firearm;

Cabias Thomas Fletcher, 28, of Valley has been charged with bail jumping, second degree;

Christopher Summers, 29, of Valley has been charged with bail jumping, second degree;

Tyler Lee Shaw, 27, of Heflin, Ala. has been charged with bail jumping, second degree;

Richard Dwayne Carter, 40, of Valley has been charged with theft of property, fourth degree, and possession of drug paraphernalia;

Raven Lynch, 34, of Opelika, Ala. has been charged with criminal trespassing, third degree;

James Heard, 45, of LaGrange, Ga. has been charged with failure to pay, and

Katie Elizabeth Knight, 19, of Lanett has been charged with possession of marijuana, second degree.

West Point Reports

WEST POINT — One person was arrested in West Point over the weekend. According to West Point Police Department reports,

Thomas Bernard Serles, 52, of Hamilton, Georgia has been charged with driving without a license.
