LaFAYETTE — Five people were arrested in Chambers County on Tuesday. According to Chambers County Sheriff’s Office reports,

David Hockett, 24, of LaGrange, Ga. has been charged on a grand jury indictment with two counts of computer solicitation of a child, two counts of traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act and two counts of rape, second degree;

Danika Hutchinson, 22, of LaFayette has been charged with receiving stolen property, third degree;

Anterio Williams, 21, of LaFayette has been charged with failure to appear in court to answer charges of discharging a firearm into an occupied building, criminal mischief, second degree, and discharging a firearm in the city limits;

Telina Breeze, 37, of Lanett has been charged with being a fugitive from justice, and

Jeremy Meriweather, 35, of Atlanta, Ga. has been charged with FTA – unlawful possession of a controlled substance, burglary, third degree and theft of property, second degree.

There were 158 inmates in the Chambers County jail Wednesday morning.

LANETT — Four people were arrested in Lanett on Tuesday. According to Lanett Police Department reports,

Freddie Barnes, 59, of Lanett has been charged with theft of property, fourth degree;

Jeremy Meriwether, 35, of Atlanta has been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and bail jumping, second degree;

Traci Jones, 32, of West Point has been charged with DUI and

Lebryant Askew, 22, of LaGrange has been charged with public intoxication.

In incidents being investigated by Lanett officers, theft of property, fourth degree, was reported on the 1400 block of South Gilmer Avenue, assault, second degree, was reported on the 300 block of South 3rd Avenue and identity theft reported on the 6000 block of Veterans Memorial Parkway.

VALLEY – Two people were arrested in Valley on Tuesday. According to Valley Police Department reports,

Meagan Suellen Brown, 22, of Opelika, Ala. has been charged with criminal mischief, second degree, and

Andreious K. Johnson, 19, of Valley has been charged with possession of marijuana, second degree.

In incidents being investigated by Valley officers, harassment was reported on the 300 block of Rehobeth Road, theft, third degree, and the fraudulent use of a debit/credit card was reported on the 3500 block of 20th Avenue, and theft of property, fourth degree, reported on the 5800 block of 16th Avenue.

LaFAYETTE — Three people were arrested in LaFayette on Tuesday. According to LaFayette Police Department reports,

Cordeia Williams, 30, has been charged with failure to pay;

Recado Giddens, 37, has been charged with theft of property, fourth degree, and

Jimmy Copeland, 69, has been charged with domestic violence, first degree, and attempt to commit murder or another crime.

In incidents being investigated by LaFayette officers, theft of property, fourth degree, was reported on Veterans Memorial Parkway, and harassment was reported on B Street SW.
