Sheriff’s Reports

LaFAYETTE — Two people were arrested in Chambers County on Tuesday. According to Chambers County Sheriff’s Office reports,

Stephen King, 24, of LaGrange, Ga. has been charged with failure to appear in court to answer a charge of no insurance, and

Fitzgerald Hicks, 51, of Lanett has been charged with FTA – child support and failure to pay – driving revoked.

There were 143 inmates in the Chambers County jail Wednesday morning.

Valley Reports

VALLEY — Two people were arrested in Valley on Tuesday. According to Valley Police Department reports,

Jeremy S. Nix, 35, of Valley has been charged with receiving stolen property, third degree, and

Justin Noel Cochran, 36, of Valley has been charged with FTA – traffic.

In incidents being investigated by Valley officers, theft of property, fourth degree, was reported on the 5100 block of 26th Avenue, leaving the scene of an accident was reported on the 3000 block of 20th Avenue and domestic violence – criminal mischief was reported on the 1200 block of County Road 271.

Lanett Reports

LANETT — One person was arrested in Lanett on Tuesday. According to Lanett Police Department reports,

Zari Askew, 20, of LaGrange, Ga. has been charged with bail jumping, second degree.

In incidents being investigated by Lanett officers, criminal mischief, third degree, was reported on the 4500 block of 32nd Street SW and the unlawful breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and theft of property, first degree, was reported on the 600 block of Cherry Drive.

LaFayette Reports

LaFAYETTE — One person was arrested in LaFayette on Tuesday. According to LaFayette Police Department reports,

James H. Finley, 54, has been charged with public intoxication, resisting arrest and public intoxication.

In incidents being investigated by LaFayette officers, unlawful breaking and entering a motor vehicle was reported on Avenue A SE, harassing communications was reported on 4th Place NE, theft of property, fourth degree, was reported on Highway 431 South, and criminal t6respassing, third degree, was reported on Alabama Ave. E.
