Gibson: Special congratulations to Valley High School

Special congratulations to Valley High School for high achievements in track and field. It is outstanding to have a silver medalist in Valley. On Saturday, March 2, D’Asia Stephens of Valley High School ran the 400-meter dash in 1:11 to win her race and then she participated in the 4×4 relay and ran it in 1:13. Overall, she came in second place for the meet and received a silver medal.

The community is wishing a special get well and recovery to Mrs. Rudene Woodyard. She has returned home. We pray for all sick and shut-ins. Please have speedy recoveries.

We are praying for the tornado victims and their families. Please remember the needs of those in the communities that got damaged. They received a special visit from President Trump.

New Mt. Sellers Baptist Church in LaFayette celebrated Black History Month a Prayer Breakfast, Saturday, Feb. 23, at 9 a.m. The guest speaker was Robert Chambers of St. Stephens CME Church. The Prayer Breakfast was well enjoyed.

The MPCO District Conference was held at St. Stephens on Saturday, March 2, at 9 a.m. Specialties to Brittany Dowdell who gave the presentation: “Selecting your HealthCare Agent- Caring Info.” The conference was very informative.
