Traffic crash in Valley sends one to hospital

VALLEY — Two individuals were injured Friday morning in a traffic crash on Highway 29 near Langdale Methodist Church, according to Kerry Pickard, assistant fire chief at the East Alabama Fire Protection District.
He said one person was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment and another individual was treated at the scene by Lanett Emergency Services.

Pickard said crews remained on scene for some time cleaning hazardous materials from the ground.
The cause of the crash is unknown.
