Auction to include unique items

VALLEY — Many area businesses and individuals have donated items to be auctioned off at this year’s Hike/Bike/Run Auction for Valley Haven School. It will be taking place inside the Valley Community Center, starting Friday at 5:30 p.m. EDT.
One of the more interesting items has been donated by the school. It’s a 1993 GMC 10-passenger bus with a chair station and lift.
Other donated items include a gift certificate for a set of four Hercules passenger vehicle tires from West Point Tire; a $400 in-store gift certificate from Kenny Knox Tire; some five-gallon buckets and lids from Letica; two sets of season tickets to performances by the New Horizon Theatre; a ten-foot Pelican 100x kayak with paddles and a life vest from Pawn City; a dry flower floral arrangement from Colorvision; a metal Coca-Cola patio table with chairs from Marvin’s Building Materials; a $250 in-store gift certificate from Hester’s Tire & Auto; a certificate for an oil-change for a passenger car or light truck (no diesel) from Highway 29 Express Lube; an area rug from Gibson’s Floor Covering; a will for husband and wife from local attorney Skip McCoy; $50 in gift certificates toward dental services from Paige Collins Dentistry; steering wheel covers; Batman windshield sunshades; a Pilot Performance Manual transmission combo kits; a Motor Trend horizontal phone pouch; a Skull rearview mirror; a Pilot shift knob; a set of black bucket seat covers from Advance Auto; carpet cleaning certificates for two rooms from Cops Carpet Cleaning; a 40-piece ratchet set from Auto Zone; a Super Pro Char Griller from Badcock Home Furnishings; 2500 R30 and 2500 R13 insulation certificates from Knauf Insulation; a Center Point Archery EOS hunter compound bow package from Chambley’s Quality Outdoor Products; bird houses; bird feeders and bee catchers from Charles Chapman; oil change certificates from David’s Auto; oil change certificates for up to three times a year with 4,000 miles between for a passenger car (no diesel) from Bryan’s Transmission; Echo trimmer head and a reel of Echo nylon line from Valley Lawnmower; $100 gift certificates for flooring and carpets from Harris Carpets; a gift basket from Super Sonic Express Car Wash and Flea Flickers; oil changes (no diesel) from Langley Buick GMC, two regular oil, lube, filter change certificates from Sandy’s Service Center; two three-by-six banner gift certificates from Norman’s Sign Shop; an 18.5-inch and a 14-inch charcoal grill from Grills & Frills; three gift certificates for one eight-inch round or square, one or two-tier cake with your choice of icing from Diane Harris; a Lorell Executive comfort office chair from Loy’s Office Supplies; a last will and testament for a husband and wife, a last will for one person and a warranty deed from Don Cleveland, attorney at law; homemade salt and pepper holder made by James McCallister; like new – used only once – Datrek hardcase travel golf case; and a used Box Flex Extreme SE exercise machine.

The Hike/Bike/Run will take place on Saturday morning, May 4, and the Hike/Bike/Run season will conclude with a bowling tournament and bingo at Valley Bowl on Tuesday evening, May 7.
