LANETT — For the 25th straight year, a motorcycle ride will be part of the annual Hike/Bike/Run for Valley Haven School. The ride is a part of this coming Saturday’s LaFayette Day for Valley Haven School.

“If you wish to participate, please meet in the empty parking lot between Langley Buick GMC and Greene’s Super Drugs on Highway 29 at the state line,” Valley Haven Executive Director Craig Brown said. “Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. EDT on Saturday, and the ride will start at 10:30 a.m.”

A Hike/Bike/Run volunteer will be at the start to register those taking part in the ride. The ride will go south on Highway 29 to the campus of Southern Union State Community College in Opelika. From there, the route will take a right onto U.S. 431 back to LaFayette, where the annual arts and crafts and antique car show portion of LaFayette Day will take place. Each rider will receive a free BBQ sandwich meal. Anyone collecting pledges or donations of $50 or more will also get a Hike/Bike/Run or LaFayette Day T-shirt.
