Mr. Curtis Watts

LANETT — Mr. Curtis Watts, 78, of Lanett, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 6, 2019, in Dadeville. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2019, at 2:30 p.m. EDT at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley, Burial will follow in Johnson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. EDT at the funeral home in Valley.

Mr. Watts is survived by his four children, Roxanna Clampett, Craig (Nancy) Watts, Pam (Tully) Kilgore, and Chris (Linda) Davis; six grandchildren, Zach (Kacey) Watts, Amber (Mitchell) Turnham, Melissa Davis, Alicia (Corey) Lawrence, Breanna Kilgore and Michael Pinkard, and seven great-grandchildren and several other relatives.

Born August 25, 1940, in Opelika, Mr. Watts was the son of the late Eddie Milton Watts Sr. and the late Mattie Mae Watts. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 38 years, Willadean S. Watts, and their son, Michael Ray Watts.

Mr. Watts served in the U.S. Army from 1963 until 1965.

He was the second shift supervisor at Martex Warehouse for over 15 years, where he was beloved by all his team members. In his retirement, Mr. Watts spent lots of time with his family relaxing on his front porch.
