WEST POINT — William Joseph (Joe) Miller, 63, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2019, of sudden cardiac arrest on his beloved family land in West Point. He was born Oct. 12, 1955, to the late James William (Jamie) Miller and his loving wife, Jean Hunt Miller.

Joe grew up in West Point, where he attended West Point Elementary School and was then in the first inaugural graduating class of Springwood High School. He graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management and logistics in 1979. Joe was a passionate sports enthusiast and excelled in basketball, water and snow skiing, motorcycle racing and NASCAR motorsports. He was a true Auburn fan and pledged full support to Auburn basketball, Auburn football and his beloved fraternity brothers with Lambda Chi Alpha.

Joe’s passion for life was only exceeded by his love for his family and numerous (too many to count) friends. As a lifelong worker in the timber and lumber business, he and his late father truly excelled.
