ALEXANDER CITY — Mrs. Arlene Smith Odom, 65, of Alexander City, died Saturday, April 27, 2019, at her residence.

Mrs. Odom was born in Tallapoosa County on May 29, 1953, to the late James Carl Smith and the late Janie Kate Trimble Smith. She was a homemaker.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at 11 a.m. CDT at the LaFayette City Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Allen officiating.

Mrs. Odom is survived by her son, Jason Odom of LaFayette, and her sister, Myrtle Smedley of Opelika, and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, James C. (Jimmy) Smith, Jr.
