Police Reports Ending April 5

Sheriff’s Reports

LaFAYETTE —Seven people were arrested in Chambers County on Thursday. According to Chambers County Sheriff’s Office reports,

Craig Stanley Gregory Jr., 30, of Opelika has been charged with failure to appear in court to answer a charge of not making child support payments;

Reunite’ Lakia Johnson, 38, of Valley has been charged with failure to pay – failure to display insurance;

Marcus Dwayne Trammell, 31. of LaFayette has been charged with FTA – possession of a controlled substance and attempting to elude;

Kenny Ray Briskey, 54, of LaFayette has been charged with public intoxication;

Dequeaze Kenya James, 39, of Lanett has been charged with FTA – child support;

Samuel Joseph Lewis, 42, of Five Points has been charged with being a fugitive from justice and resisting arrest, and

Quintin Marquez Brown, 32, of Lanett has been charged with FTA – child support and on grand jury indictments for rape, second degree, and sodomy, second degree.

There were 158 inmates in the Chambers County jail on Friday morning.

Lanett Reports

LANETT — Two people were arrested in Lanett on Thursday. According to Lanett Police Department reports,

Dustin Irvin, 30, of Lanett has been charged with bail jumping, second degree, and

Dequeaze James, 39, of Lanett has been charged with bail jumping, second degree.

In incidents being investigated by Lanett officers, criminal mischief, third degree, and theft of property, fourth degree, was reported on the 700 block of North 3rd Avenue, and harassment was reported on the 1400 block of North 6th Avenue.

West Point Reports

WEST POINT — In an incident being investigated by West Point police officers, theft by taking was reported Thursday on East 12th Street.
