VALLEY — In incidents reported to Valley Police Department on Thursday, officers are investigating reports of harassing communications on the 1000 block of Johnson Lane, theft by deception, first degree, on the 4300 block of 20th Avenue and theft by deception, third degree, on the 3500 block of 20th Avenue.
Sheriff’s reports
LaFAYETTE — Six people were arrested in Chambers County on Thursday. According to Chambers County Sheriff’s Office reports,
Michael Marable, 28, of Lanett has been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to appear in court to answer charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana, second degree.
Jacobie Phillips, 25, of LaFayette has been charged on a grand jury indictment for robbery, first degree;
Charles Schroeder, 25, of Five Points has been charged with permitting dogs to ruin at large;
Charles Sheppard, 62, of Roanoke has been charged with violation of a protection order;
Michael Holloway, 52, of Lanett has been charged with failure to pay – two counts of negotiating with a worthless negotiable instrument (bad checks) and
Christopher Davis, 25, of Wedowee has been charged with receiving stolen property, first degree.
A total of 168 inmates were in the Chambers County jail Friday morning.
Lanett reports
LANETT — Two people were arrested in Lanett on Thursday. According to Lanett Police Department reports,
Terry Lee Smith, 32, of Lanett has been charged with attempting to elude a police officer, and
Michael Marable, 28, of Lanett has been charged with attempting to elude a police officer and resisting arrest.
In incidents being investigated by Lanett officers, domestic violence, third degree, was reported on the 700 block of North 14th Court, criminal mischief, third degree, was reported on the 5000 block of 20th Street SW, domestic violence, third degree, was reported on the 1500 block of 44th Avenue SW and domestic violence, third degree, was reported on the 800 block of South 10th Street.
