LANETT — Mrs. Shirley Hood Davis, 62, of Lanett, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at her residence.

Mrs. Davis was born on Jan. 6, 1957, in Langdale.  She was preceded in death by her father Earl Hood.

Mrs. Davis was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church. She loved her family and was a huge Auburn fan. War Eagle!

She is survived by her husband, Mike Davis; children J.B. (Heather) Davis and Kim (Daniel) Bozeman; her mother Betty Hood; siblings Dewey (Penny) Hood and Peggy (James) Farr; grandchildren Kelsey and Allie Davis, James, Ryan, and Emmalynn Bozeman, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at 2 p.m. ET at the Johnson Brown­-Service Funeral Home chapel in Valley with interment following in Hillcrest Cemetery.  The Rev. Perry Duffey and the Rev. Jonathan Herston will officiate.  The family received friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. ET.

Flowers will be kindly accepted or the family suggests that memorials be made in her name to Chattahoochee Hospice or to the Hopewell United Methodist Church.
