Ms. Charlie Mae Rutledge, of Valley, died on June 22 at Hospice LaGrange, LaGrange.  

Funeral Services are scheduled for June 26 at 11 a.m. from Rehoboth Baptist Church, Valley, with Pastor Karanja Story officiating. Interment will follow in the churchyard cemetery. Davis Memorial Mortuary of Valley directing. Public viewing is scheduled for June 25 beginning at 1 p.m. and culminating with family hour from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Davis Memorial Mortuary Chapel.  

Rutledge confessed her belief in Christ at an early age and joined Rehoboth Baptist Church, serving as a faithful member and as a faithful and dutiful member of the Usher Board for over 60 years. Her legacy of love is entrusted to the cherished memories of her nephews, Willie D. (Marion) Rutledge, of West Point; David E. Rutledge and Julius Rutledge, both of Ypsilanti, Michigan; Freddie Jackson, of Detroit; and Desmond Jackson, of Valley; her nieces, Cathy Richardson and Dorothy (John) Flournoy, both of Valley; devoted great-niece, Zuvella Jackson, of Valley; devoted cousin, Matrina Trammell, of Lanett; a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends.
