Ms. Cynthia “Cynt” D. Boyd — 1963-2019

Ms. Cynthia “Cynt” D.  Boyd, 56, of Lanett, was born on February 26, 1963, in Chambers County to the late Coley Boyd, Jr. and Pearl Lee Boyd. She departed this life and went to be with the Lord on June 15 at her residence in Lanett. A visitation will be held on June 21 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. EDT at Morgan & Sons Funeral Home. A celebration of her Life will be held June 22 at 2 p.m. EDT at Church of Christ 1009 North Lanier Avenue Lanett, with Bro. Celvin Willis officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery in Lanett.   

Boyd was affectionately known by all as “Cynt.” Boyd was added to the North 13th Avenue Church of Christ at an early age, under the leadership of Brother Robert Ellison. She was a product of the Lanett City School. Boyd was preceded in death by her sisters, Gloria Wright and Sharon Boyd, a brother, Walter Lee (BoBo) Boyd, her paternal grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. Coley and Eulalor Boyd, Sr. 

Boyd leaves to cherish her memories: a loving daughter, Saquina Boyd, of Lanett; two loving sons, Jaquivus Boyd, of Lanett, and Carey (Sandricka) Boyd, of LaGrange; 13 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; 10 loving sisters, Betty (Cary) Boyd, Patricia (Phil) Dixon and Mary Hayes Morgan, of Atlanta, Brenda Stegall, of Carrolton, Georgia, Catherine Boyd, of Chicago, Martha (Howard) McMurry of Louisville, Kentucky, Shirley Barnes, of Lanett, Kathleen Floyd, of West Point, Cassandra (Melvin) Grier, of Valley, Marjorie Boyd, of Columbus; four loving brothers, Jimmy Ferrell of Atlanta, Roger (Linda) Hendrick, Dock (Pam) Smith, of Carrollton, Georgia, John Boyd, of Lanett, a special Uncle JC (Mildred) Whitlow; a loving Cousin, who was raised with her as a brother, Edward (Pee Wee) Boyd, Jr.; a God Sister, Valerie Lynn Huguley, a very special and devoted friend and caretaker; Mr. John Copeland; a loving host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, and her devoted and loving pet, Tid Bit.
