Mr. Wallace Todd Snider — 1967-2019

Mr. Wallace Todd Snider, 51, of Valley, passed away on July 12 at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika. Snider was born in Langdale on Aug. 16, 1967, to Perry Snider and Nancy Wallace Snider. Snider attended Langdale United Methodist Church. 

Todd graduated from Valley High School in 1985. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding horses. For a number of years, he was a fishing guide on West Point Lake. He also was a self-employed contractor and a heavy equipment operator. Todd was well known for his happy-go-lucky attitude, entertaining stories, boisterous personality, and he was a friend to everyone. He was absolutely one of a kind who did it his way. 

Snider is survived by his daughter, Sami Jo Snider; significant other, Scarlett Bailey; parents, Perry and Nancy Snider; aunt, Georgann (Danny) Oliver; two nephews, numerous cousins, and many close friends. He was preceded in death by grandparents Benny and Ophelia Snider; grandparents George and Lillian Wallace; and a niece, Meagan Bonner.

A memorial service will be held on July 17 at 6 p.m. EDT at Langdale United Methodist Church in Valley. His family will be receiving friends at the church from 4 p.m. EDT until the service hour. Pastor Chuck Goodwin and Pastor Roslyn Boren will be officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to one’s favorite charity in his memory.
