Rochelle Williams Rutland, 81, of LaGrange, passed away on July 24 at the Florence Hand Home.

Rutland was born July 19, 1938, in Troup County to the late Lewis C. Bonner and Inez Dukes Hale. She was a member of Plant City Baptist Church in Valley and worked a number of years at Kay Jewelry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Joe V. Williams, Jr. and George Rutland; daughter, Pam Williamson; and brothers, Ronnie Bonner and Tommy Hale.

Survivors include her children, Paula and Jerry Knight, Joey and Janelle Williams; son-in-law, Larry Williamson; step-children, Carol and Tom Bennett, Arlene and Leon Weathers, Joan and Byrd Worthy, Jane and Manuel Rodriguez; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; other relatives and friends.

The gathering of family and friends will be 11 a.m. until noon at the funeral prior to the service. The funeral services will be on July 27 at noon in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with the Rev. Brad Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Meadoway Gardens.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Hospice LaGrange in memory of Rutland.
