Mrs. Sarah Pike East, 78, a resident of Valley. Graveside services will be on July 2 at 11 a.m. EDT at Hopewell Cemetery. Visitation was on Monday from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. EDT at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.

Survivors include her son, John East; daughter, Reanita Thrift; brother, Paul Leon Pike; five grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Troy Dwight Boyd.

She was born on February 17, 1941, and passed away on June 27 at EAMC Lanier Hospital.

Family and friends will meet at the cemetery.
