Good luck as school year starts

The summer is already over for students in Chambers County. Somehow, already, it’s the first day of school for the Chambers County School System and Lanett City School System. Springwood School and Chambers Academy also return to school on Thursday.
We want to wish all of the students and teachers good luck as they begin the new school year. We’re sure parents will be stressing as they try to reinforce bedtime routines and to get students dressed and ready for the bus, but it’ll soon become the norm.
For students, the first day of school means the opportunity to learn more, see friends and participate in sports and other extracurricular activities.
Administrators, teachers and support staff in each of the school system work year-round to ensure the best learning environment possible for students. All of that hard work sort of hits a peak on Thursday, when students finally return to the hallways.
All of us were once students in school, and probably have memories flood back to us as we think back to first days.
However, it goes by extremely fast. We hope students will soak it up and really enjoy it.
Good luck to everyone. We hope it’s a fantastic school system.
