Mike (Angel) Davis went home to be with the Lord on July 20, at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.

He was born in Langdale on April 3, 1955, to the late Ben Donald Davis and Vidar Brown Davis of Valley.

Mr. Davis graduated from Valley High School, Southern Union Junior College and Troy State University, where he received a degree in accounting.

Mike served in the U.S. Air Force for four years. He was an active member of Journey Church of Valley where he often served as a greeter. He worked in the textile industry for many years in the area of inventory.

Mike loved his wife dearly. He was a gentle, happy man who enjoyed life and enjoyed being with people. Mike was active in the Valley Senior Center and he was an avid Alabama football fan.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Marcia Faye Colley Davis, of Valley; brothers, Donald R. (Ruthie) Davis, of Lake Harding, and William J. (Karen) Davis, of Spokane, Washington.

A memorial service and celebration of life for Mike will be held on Aug. 4 at 4 p.m. EDT at Journey Church of Valley. The Rev. Steve York will be officiating.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in Mr. Davis’s memory to Journey Church of Valley.
