Identity released of man found dead near substation in Valley
VALLEY — The identity of the man found dead near an Alabama Power warehouse Wednesday has been revealed, according to the Valley Police Department.
Dylan Lowe McClendon, 29, of Atlanta, was positively identified by the Alabama Medical Examiner’s Office.
According to the Valley Police Department, there is no foul play suspected in his death.
On Wednesday, officers were called to the Alabama Power substation at about 8 a.m. after employees were checking the fence line and discovered a possible dead body behind their building.

Also, as of Friday morning, police are still treating this case as a death investigation.
A news release from the Valley Police Department asked for the public’s help in determining McClendon’s whereabouts prior to his death. Reynolds said officers are trying to put together a timeline to figure out why he was in the area.
