Nothing has changed in the Alabama Sports Writers Association (ASWA) prep poll this week for Chambers Academy and Lanett High School.

After a thrilling 35-28 win over Tuscaloosa Academy, Chambers Academy (2-0) remains as the No. 4 team among all AISA schools. The Rebels are now on a 15-game winning streak and have increased its regular-season winning streak to 36 games, according to the Alabama High School Football Historical Society. Chambers Academy returns home this week to host Abbeville Christian.

Lanett head football coach Clifford Story, Jr. claimed the Panthers (2-0) as this season’s Chambers County public school champions after defeating rival LaFayette High School 17-0 last Friday night. Lanett has now won 20 of its last 21 regular-season games. The Panthers begin region play this week on the road at Wadley. Lanett remains as the No. 5 team in 1A.
