Mr. Danny Staples, 65, of Lanett, passed away on Sept. 15 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika. He was born on Aug. 12, 1954, in Valley, to the late Edith and Jack Staples.

Mr. Staples is survived by wife, Lisa Nelson Staples; his children, Tabatha Garcia, Ryan (Mabel) Miller, Summer (Daniel) Ruff, Tristan Nelson, Misty Staples and Eric Staples; his grandchildren, Yolanda Adams, Maya Richardson, Xzavious Crim, Patience Staples, Dominiquec Johnson, Ty McCants and Jacob Ruff; his great-grandchildren, Conner Adams, Lincoln Adams and Parker Staples; his favorite pet, Little Bit.

Mr. Staples was an active member of Calvary Family Worship Center in Valley. He was the owner/operator of Danny Staples Appliance in Lanett for over 30 years. He was a sweet man who had a big heart and was always good to everyone. He loved his family and his church and was a wonderful husband, dad and granddad. 

Funeral services will be held on Sept. 18th at 3 p.m. EDT at the Calvary Family Worship Center in Valley. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Pastor LaVerne Cotney will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday afternoon from 2 p.m. EDT until the service hour at the church.
