Mr. Freeman Griffin, Sr, 82, of LaFayette, passed away on Sept. 2 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held on Sept. 7 at. 11 a.m. CDT at God’s House of Prayer Holiness Church in Camp Hill, Bishop Frank McLeod, officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in LaFayette.

Mr. Griffin is survived by his son, Charlie (Sharlyn) Griffin, of Opelika; his daughters, Maxine (Richard) Williams, of LaFayette, Angela (Danny) Oneal, of Opelika, and Belinda (Leroy) Taylor, of LaFayette, whom he called his daughter; four sisters, Josephine Roberts, of Lanett, Clemmie Holloway and Christine Griffin, both of Camp Hill, and Johnnie Mae Allen, of LaFayette; thirteen grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
