Mr. James “Jack” Hardnett, 40, of LaFayette, passed away on Sept. 16 at West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange.

Funeral services will be held on Sept. 23 at 1:00 p.m. CDT at Hopewell Baptist Church in LaFayette, the Rev. Douglas Jones, Sr., Pastor; Officiating. Burial will follow in Standing Rock Cemetery in LaFayette.

Mr. Hardnett is survived by his daughter, Jakeviyana Hardnett, of LaFayette; his son, Jeremy Meadows, of Talladega; his mother, Sallie Mae Hardnett, of Milltown; three brothers, Joseph (Bridget) Hardnett and Kevin (Rekisha) Turner, both of Milltown, and Terrence (Candis) Laney, of Bristol, Tennessee; one sister, Nicole (Benjamin) Strickland, of LaFayette; three step-sisters, Itanya Dawson, Lakeisha Durham and Jasmine Durham; stepbrother, Marcus Durham, all of LaFayette; special friend, Monica Cameron, of Roanoke; a host of aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; a special little friend, Markeviaa Henderson; other relatives and friends.
