Victim identified in Highway 50 wreck

The identity of a man killed in an accident on Alabama Highway 50 has been released.

Darian Brown, 22, of Forsyth, Georgia, was killed when the 1994 Buick LeSabre he was driving left the road and overturned, ejecting the driver, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. Brown was pronounced dead at the scene.

The single-vehicle accident occurred just after 3:40 p.m. Tuesday at the 49-mile marker.

The Valley Times-News was told by officials at the scene that the accident involved two vehicles, but ALEA confirmed it was only a single-vehicle crash.
