Beulah falls to Pike Road Thursday night

PIKE ROAD — The Beulah  Bobcats (3-6, 1-6) lost to Pike Road (10-0, 7-0) 55-14 on Thursday night. 

Bobcats junior quarterback Kaleb Abney completed 6-of-8 passes for 110 yards and a touchdown. Junior Quay Moreland caught two passes for 78 receiving yards and a touchdown. Senior JaQuavion Johnson caught one pass for nine yards. Sophomore Jeremy Conway caught two passes for 23 yards. 

Moreland also led the team with 64 rushing yards on  nine carries and a touchdown. Sophomore Sondreikus Cooper finished with 11 rushing yards on four carries.

Johnson added a six-yard carry in the effort as well.

Defensively, senior Billy Wayne Sykes led the team with three tackles and a tackle for a loss, while several Bobcats finished with two tackles on the night.

With the defeat, Beulah has now lost five games in a row.

The Bobcats’ season concludes next week at home against McKenzie (11-7, 1-5).
