With only over a couple of weeks of the regular season remaining, the Beulah varsity volleyball team (13-3, 2-1) has found itself in a nice rhythm of winning.

Currently 10 games over .500 for the program’s overall record, the Bobcats will now play a home-and-home pair of area matches against B.B. Comer (6-15, 2-1) within the next week. Beulah is on a four-game winning streak, which began on Sept. 23 at home against Lanett (2-7, 1-5).

The Bobcats won in straight sets against the Panthers 25-22, 25-17, 25-13. Senior Camryn Harris led the team with seven aces in the sweep. Then, Beulah defeated LaGrange in four sets in a match where head volleyball coach Allison Aikens said she was impressed by senior Danielle Williams’ hitting.

The Bobcats picked up the past two wins on Monday night in a tri-match with Valley (0-9, 0-4 before Tuesday night’s match against Beauregard, according to C2C Schools) and Randolph County (0-7, 0-3). Junior Estella Llorens led the Bobcats with four aces in the 25-10, 25-16 victory over the Rams. Freshman Brandy Phillips finished with a team-high six aces in the 25-12, 25-10 win over Randolph County.

The Bobcats have a nice balance of veteran leadership in Harris, Williams and Sydney Knight to go along with underclassmen like sophomore Katie Morris and freshman Amya Dunn.

Excluding the BHS Tournament on Oct. 12, Beulah has five regular-season matches remaining.
