WEST POINT — Capital City Bank has upgraded its entire fleet of ATMs, replacing every traditional ATM with an enhanced Smart ATM or Virtual Banking technology that allows clients access to more services outside of standard business hours.

New equipment is available at the Chambers and Troup county branches.

“This is an investment we’re making in our communities in order to serve our clients better,” said Jason Holstun, Capital City Bank president of Troup and Chambers counties. “The ways in which consumers are interacting with their bank are constantly evolving, and these innovations allow us to incorporate technology that gives them the power to manage their finances when and where their schedules allow. We’re excited to provide solutions that change the ‘business hours’ paradigm. These tools give clients more of the flexibility they need in their on-the-go lives.”

The Virtual Banking machine, which will be installed in the drive-in at the Capital City Bank Office at 1103 2nd Ave. in West Point, offers extended hours of service and is available to Capital City Bank clients with or without a debit card. Clients using the Virtual Banking machine may work one-on-one with a banker from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday. Assistance is available for a broad range of transactions, from cashing checks and transferring funds to making loan payments and ordering debit cards.

In addition to banker-assisted services, the Virtual Banker allows clients to switch to a Smart ATM option for self-service banking with their debit cards 24 hours a day. The Smart ATM has all the standard features of a traditional ATM but includes several enhancements that make it easier, faster and more convenient than ever before. It accepts cash and check deposits up to 30 items in a single transaction, and checks post same day when deposited by 8 p.m. on business days.

In addition to the 2nd Ave. location, Smart ATMs will be available at 410 West 10th St. in West Point, as well as both Capital City Bank offices in Valley a: 375 Fob James Dr. and 3503 20th Ave.

Rounding out the new technology offerings, Drop+Go services will be available in every Capital City Bank drive-in, providing a quick and secure means of making deposits and payments without waiting in line. Processing is done at midday and an hour before closing for posting the same business day.
