ROCKFORD — The LaFayette Bulldogs (4-4, 4-1) defeated Central Coosa (0-8, 0-5) 48-6 on Friday night in 2A Region 4 action.

LaFayette finishes its four-game regular-season ending road trip next week at region-opponent Horseshoe Bend (1-7, 1-4). 

In 2019, the Bulldogs have remained an even .500 with a -2 record both at home and on the road. 

The team is currently 2-1 on this road trip. 

LaFayette has only given up 16 points per game in 2019, while Central Coosa has averaged 7.8 points a game offensively this year.

The Generals are coming off of a 27-0 loss against Fayetteville (5-3, 2-3) on Friday night. 

In 2018, the Bulldogs defeated Horseshoe Bend 35-6 at home.

LaFayette has another open week scheduled after next Friday’s matchup before the Bulldogs begin postseason play.
