Mr. Derrick Carlisle, Sr. 88, of Five Points, passed away on Oct. 22 at his home.

Funeral services will be held on Oct. 26 at 1 p.m. CDT at Rehope Missionary Baptist Church in LaFayette, the Rev. Dr. Harvey L. Jones; officiating. Burial will follow in Sweet Home Baptist Church Cemetery in Five Points.

Mr. Carlisle is survived  wife, Sarah Berry Carlisle; seven children, Debra (Richard) Hytower, of Carrollton, Georgia, Ivy (Roger) Jones, of Roswell, Georgia, Reeta (Joe) Lewis, of Opelika, Wyvetta (Chris) O’Neal, of Opelika, Derrick (Rolanda) Carlisle, Jr., of Five Points, Ken (Tedra) Carlisle, of Five Points, and Aimee Heard, of Auburn; one sister, Maurine Jackson, of Five Points; one brother-in-law, Andrew Joe (Mae Fannie) Berry, of Five Points; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces; nephews; loving relatives; and friends.
