Mr. Joe Brown — 1949-2019

Mr. Joe Brown, 70, Of Penton, died on Oct. 16 at his residence.
He was born in Clarksville on July 1, 1949, to the late Clarence Eugene Brown and the late Bernice Breed Brown. He was a member of the Penton Church Of God and served as the song leader.
He retired from Uniroyal after 25 years of service, drove a log truck for Chris Langley for 13 years and was a member of the Mt. Hickory Hunting Club.
Graveside services will be held on Oct. 18 at 3 p.m. at the Penton Church Of God Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Campbell officiating.
Visitation will be held at the Penton Church Of God on Friday from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. before the graveside.
He is survived by two daughters, Allison (Charles ) Burton, of LaFayette, and Leslie Freeman, of Penton; one brother, Kenny (Melanie) Brown, of LaFayette; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Becky Brown; brother, Jimmy Brown; and sister, Eleanor Brown.
