Mrs. Peggy Edmondson Sanders, 76, of West Point, passed away on Oct. 9 at the LaGrange Hospice in LaGrange. 

Mrs. Sanders was born in Randolph County on Nov. 17, 1942, to the late Homer Edmondson and Burty Strickland Edmondson. 

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Doyle Edmondson.

Mrs. Sanders retired from the West Point Stevens Langdale Mill after 32 years of service. 

She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and was an avid Atlanta Braves baseball fan. 

She is survived by her husband, Bobbie D. Sanders, of West Point; son, Jeff (Becky) Sanders, of West Point; siblings, D.H. (Sylvia) Edmondson, of LaFayette, Carol Scott, of Five Points, Ronnie (Terri) Edmondson, of Fredonia; grandchildren, Laura Beth Sanders, Scott (Casey) Sanders; great-granddaughter, Camryn Sanders; a host of nieces, nephews and extended family members. 

Funeral services will be held on Oct. 11 at 11 a.m. EDT at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley with the Rev. Rusty Letson officiating. Her family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Friday morning from 10 a.m. EDT until the service hour. Interment will be private.
