Rebels homecoming headlines Week 9 slate

Final positioning for region championships is being made in the last couple of weeks of the regular season.
While there are only two local home games, a big-time rivalry at Callaway Stadium and a homecoming headline tonight’s slate.
Beulah (3-4, 1-4) hosts region opponent Dadeville (1-7, 0-5). The Bobcats are attempting to end a three-game losing streak after coming off of a 42-14 loss at St. James (6-1, 4-1). Dadeville is coming off of a 42-0 loss at Pike Road. In 2018, Beulah defeated Dadeville 32-27.
AISA No. 2-ranked Chambers Academy (8-0, 3-0) hosts Meadowview (0-7, 0-3) for homecoming. The Rebels are coming off of a 58-7 win at Pickens Academy. Senior running back Braxton Allen passed 1,000 rushing yards for the season in the victory. Meadowview is coming off of a 62-0 loss against Southern Academy. In 2018, Chambers Academy defeated 46-6.
LaFayette (3-4, 3-1) heads on the road to face region-opponent Coosa (0-7, 0-4) tonight. The Bulldogs are coming off of a 14-7 loss at Alabama Christian Academy (4-3, 2-2) in a game where three touchdowns were called back on LaFayette. In 2018, LaFayette shut out Coosa 44-0.
1A No. 3-ranked Lanett (7-0, 4-0) is heading on the road to face Verbena (1-6, 0-4). The Panthers are coming off of a 42-0 win at Loachapoka. Verbena is coming off of a 67-0 loss at Notasulga last week. In 2018, Lanett shut Verbena out 67-0.
Troup County (4-2, 1-1) is playing the role of the road team tonight at Callaway Stadium to face rival LaGrange (2-4, 0-3). The Tigers are coming off of an open week after losing to Sandy Creek (6-0, 2-0) 44-7 on Oct. 4. In 2018, Troup County defeated LaGrange 35-14.
Valley (5-2, 4-0) travels to face region-opponent Rehobeth (5-2, 3-2). Rehobeth is coming off of a 21-6 loss at Tallassee. The Rams are coming off of an open week after defeating Tallassee 34-12 on Oct. 4. In 2018, Valley defeated Rehobeth 28-2.
