Have you ever heard of actions that make you raise your eyebrows?

I wish you had been downtown in the City of Lanett to see a surprise that would cause people to really raise their eyebrows.

The outstanding presentation was sponsored by the Annual Breast Cancer Observance. The excitement grew when the beautiful, clear water fountain suspended pink water, representing breast cancer’s color.

The title was “The Pink Flows On.” This pretty event was Tuesday, Oct. 1, to kick off breast cancer awareness month. Lighting the fountain was Sheriff Sid Lockhart, House of Representatives District 38 Debbie Wood, and Narfunda Ross. Team WHIP and the City of Lanett wants to remind survivors and caregivers to look to the fountain as a place of peace.

Local Hairstylist & LaFayette native Tobby Leverette, aka Tobby “the king” has received his Doctoral of Professional Cosmetology from Miracle University in Martinsville, Virginia. Miracle University Inc celebrated the 25th year anniversary with a three day star-studded event held Sept. 28-30 at New College University in Martinsville,  Virginia. This celebration climaxed with Commencement Exercise for Cosmetologists, Barbers, Esthetics & Instructors worldwide.

“We’re extremely proud that our very own: Dr. Tobby “the king” Leverette, DPC, was chosen to represent the entire graduating classes in making such heartfelt presentation to Miracle University,” says President Dr. Cheoryl Murphy.

“This journey has been a very long process of sacrifice, endurance, and prayer. However, the results of it all have been rewarding. As long as there’s Life … there’s HOPE” Leverette said.

We are in sorrow and grief with families who have lost loved ones.  We are praying for you.  Please continue to pray for the sick and shut-ins.  May all of you have speedy recoveries.

Thank you for the phone calls, visits, and prayers during the loss of my niece, Audrey Lee. We the Lee/Webster families express with heartfelt thanks.
