Kia Motors Corporation unveiled the first images of its new Sorento earlier this week.
Like other Sorentos, the next-generation Sorento will be manufactured at Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia, according to Patrick Sands, manager of team relations at KMMG.
According to a press release, the vehicle features the concept of “refined boldness,” continuing the tough-looking aesthetic of the Sorento while applying a greater degree of refinement and elegance.
“Inside, the attractive, upscale cabin of the new Kia Sorento introduces a sophisticated new design, incorporating cutting-edge infotainment, supreme practicality, and premium-grade materials,” read the press release.
“One of the highest quality interior spaces found in any Kia to-date, the intuitive, tech-oriented cabin of the new Sorento retains the spaciousness and three-row versatility that has characterized the Sorento over its 18-year existence. Yet it now provides owners with something altogether more striking, desirable and comfortable.”
KMMG in West Point currently manufactures the Telluride, Sorento and Optima.
The new Sorento will make its official debut on March 3 at the Geneva International Motor Show, according to the press release.
Sands said it is expected to arrive at dealerships early this fall.
