One person dies in fire on County Road 190

One person died in a fire on County Road 190 Saturday, according to information from the East Alabama Fire District.
The EAFD responded to the fire at approximately 2 a.m. ET with units notified of an entrapment in the structure. The first arriving units were met with heavy fire conditions, according to EAFD. More than three-fourths of the structure was involved in fire at that time.
One firefighter conducted fire suppression methods to keep the flames at bay while two others entered a room through a window.
Firefighters located the victim and through medical treatment signs of life were regained. However, the victim later passed away at a medical facility, according to EAFD.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation by EAFD personnel and the Alabama State Fire Marshal’s Office.
