Mr. Edward Lamar Hill, a resident of Lanett, died Saturday, March 21, 2020 at his residence.  Graveside Services are scheduled for Friday, March 27, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery, Lanett, with Rev. Michael T. Winston officiating.  Davis Memorial Mortuary of Valley directing. 

Hill was born the third child of eight to the parentage of the late Rev. Otis D. and Naomi Stiggers Hill, Sr.  He was a 1970 graduate of Lanett High School.  Edward was baptized as a Jehovah’s Witness on October 27, 1973.  He is survived by:  seven siblings, Omie R. Johnson and her husband Fred–Lamar’s devoted brother-in-law and special friend, Valley, Otis D. Hill, Jr., Lanett, Terry (Regina) Hill, Powder Springs, Georgia, Sandra Thornton, West Point, Georgia, Deborah Gilbert, Stanley Hill and Cheryl Hill all of Lanett; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends, including special friends, Merle Gunn, Lillie Ray and Tommie Lee Porter, Jr.

Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, a Memorial Service will be held at a later date from the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Valley.
