Mr. Leroy R. Pigg, age 87, of West Point passed away on Friday, March 6, 2020, in Columbus, Georgia. He was born on December 21st, 1932, in Fairfax to the late Curtis and Eva Pigg.

Mr. Pigg is survived by his wife, Lucille Legg Pigg; children, Jeanie (William) Harry, Sherri (Mark) Rearden, and Kevin (Julianne) Pigg; stepchildren, Jerry Legg, Sheila Joyner, and Glenn Legg; grandchildren, Russell (Kea) Harry, Ryan (Leah) Harry, Jessica (Brandon) Combs, Zeke (Tori) Rearden, Eli (Katie) Rearden, Samantha Pigg, and Michael Pigg; seven great-grandchildren with another due to arrive shortly; numerous other loving family members.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Shockley Pigg; his brother, Kenneth Pigg; sister, Linda Hemmings. Mr. Pigg was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Valley Masonic Lodge #516. He retired from the U.S. Army National Guard after 22 years of service and from the Chattahoochee Valley Railroad after 31 years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed collecting model trains. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2020, at 4 p.m. EDT at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley. Interment will follow in Fairfax Cemetery.

The Rev. Tim Campbell will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. EDT at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
