Mr. Michael Lee “Mike” Pruitt, age 65, of Valley passed away on Wednesday, March 4th, 2020 in Opelika. He was born on May 20th, 1954 in Langdale to the late Bob and Faith Pruitt.

Mr. Pruitt is survived by his wife, Phyllis Pruitt; children, Kristi Pruitt, Mandy Pruitt, Nikki Bracey, and Bryan McCormick; grandchildren, Chasity McCormick, Miranda McCormick, Maddison McCormick, Maegan Bracey, Allyson Bracey, and Sarah Bracey; great grandchildren, Makaylin Stringfellow, D. J. McCormick, and Alleyna McCormick; sister, Bobbie (Donny) Holley; brother, Mark (Beth) Pruitt; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law, Phillip Griffin.

Mr. Pruitt was a member of West End Baptist Church in Valley. He enjoyed playing his guitars and telling jokes. He loved life, music, helping others, his family, and his church.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 7th, 2020 at 12:00 Noon (EST) at the West End Baptist Church in Valley. Interment will follow in Shawmut Cemetery. The Reverend Don Downs will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday morning from 11:00 AM (EST) until the service hour at the church. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in his memory to the West End Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 42, Valley, Alabama 36854.
