Mrs. Sara Virginia Champion Hughey, passed away on April 6, 2020, at the age of 85.
She was born on August 10, 1934 in Shawmut, now called Valley to Elige and Emma Vaulcie Champion. She graduated from Valley High School.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Fred O. Hughey, her father and mother, Elige and Emma Vaulcie Champion, Sisters, Eloise Champion and Annie Ruth Newman, brother, Willard Champion, neice, Joyce Garner and son in law, George Carriveau.
She is survived by her daughter, Sarita Carriveau, son, Anthony Hughey, daughter, Patricia (Roy) Albright, son, Michael (Monica) Hughey. Grandchildren, Jamie (Justin) Hammock and son Jared Kilgore. Roy (Erin) and son Brodie Albright.
Hughey was a resident of Valparaiso, Florida for over 50 years. She was a homemaker and worked in retail. She retired from TG&Y/McCroy’s back in the 80’s
Due to the current social gathering restrictions, funeral services will be privately held.
Our Mom was a kind loving, gracious Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Friend!
She will be sorely missed.
