Three team members at Kia Motors
Manufacturing Georgia have tested positive
for COVID-19, according to KMMG.
Rick Douglas, who works in public relations
for KMMG confirmed the cases on
Tuesday. Douglas said KMMG informed
team members of the cases Monday.
Kia announced on March 24 that it
would shut down production March 30,
with a plan to reopen on April 13. Douglas
said right now that schedule has not
changed.
Douglas said KMMG is in contact with
the team members who have COVID-19,
but the company cannot release details on
how they’re doing.
KMMG had previously announced, on
March 20, that five employees had gone
into self-quarantine after potential exposure
to the virus.
