Shortly after Gov. Kay Ivey announced her plan to begin opening Alabama, Valley Mayor Lenord Riley announced that City Hall would remain closed until May 11 in a press release.

“We apologize for any inconvenience this action will cause, but we feel we must take this necessary step to help ensure the safety of our citizens and employees,” Riley said.

Trash payments can continue to come through the United States Postal Service, over the phone or the deposit box at City Hall. Permits will be handled over the phone by calling 334-756-5226.

Other payments can be made over the phone by calling 334-756-5220 or by mail.
