Mr. Cord Hudson Dodgen 23, of LaFayette died Tuesday, May 19, 2020, at his residence.

He was born in Lee County on Sunday, May 24, 1996. He was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Camp Hill and was employed as a crew foreman with his father at the Bodine Dodgen Logging Company.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, May 29, 2020, at 2PM CDT at the Penton Church Of God Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Powell, the Rev. Tim Whaley and the Rev. Jerry Wheelis officiating.

He is survived by his parents, Jeffrey “Bodine” and Danita Dodgen of LaFayette; brother, Trent Dodgen of LaFayette.; grandmother, Zelma Dodgen of LaFayette; Uncle, Randy Dodgen & family of LaFayette.; other family members, Nick & Kira Dodgen & family, Jeff Abney & family, David Abney & family; God Parents

Chris (Joanna) Ison & family, Jasper (Thelma) Sanders & family, Mama G and the late Garlon Gore; extended family Bill & Debbie Edge, Chase (Blaire) Edge, Todd (Ali) Morrow; and many other special friends; and his Dog, Loretta Louise.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alfred “Sonny” and Betty Abney, grandfather, Paul Dodgen.
