Mr. Willie R. “Jim Dog” Billingslea, 75, of Lanett passed away on Monday, May 18, 2020.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2020, 1 p.m. EST in Pine Hill Cemetery in Lanett, the Rev. Charles Trammell, officiating.

Mr. Billingslea is survived by his wife, Melissa Story of Lanett; his children, Mekisha (Tony) Cochran of Valley, Makeith Landers and Willie Rufus Billingslea, Jr., both of Lanett; children he raised as his own, Jameika (Resheika) Story of Lanett and Jhirosky Story of Opelika; four brothers, Forrest (Beverly) Billingslea of Valley, Horace Billingslea of Lanett, Danny Billingslea of Louisville, Kentucky and William (Barbara) Billingslea of Gainesville, Georgia; two sisters, Addie Robertson of Washington, DC and Sara Cooper of Atlanta; two sisters-in-law, Marian Story of LaFayette and Wanda Story of Lanett; three brothers-in-law, Eddie Story, Jr. of LaGrange, Georgia, Charles (Kimberly) Story of Lanett and Carl Story of Atlanta; a granddaughter he raised as a daughter, Jache’la Story of Lanett; 17 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; special friends, Samuel McLemore, Donnie Snell, Leon Reed, Anthony Mathis, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
