Mrs. Dorothy Keafer, age 76, of Lanett, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2020, at LaFayette Extended Care in LaFayette. She was born on Aug. 20, 1943, in Cincinnati to the late Leslie Perry and Mary Ann Dickson Perry.

Mrs. Keafer is survived by her children, Rosemary (Brad) Wheeler of Fayetteville, Georgia, Edward Keafer of Lanett, Peggy (John) Smith of Greenville, Georgia, Patricia (Paul) East of Valley and Kim (Chuck) Linder of Ohatchee; siblings, Allen, Mike, Wanda, Roy, Earl, Harold, and Joyce; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Keafer; daughter, Dorothy Bryan; brother, Roger Perry; and sister, Linda Perry Davis.

Mrs. Keafer was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed coloring and drawing, and also growing flowers in her garden. She loved her family.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2020, at 2 p.m. (EST) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley. The Rev. Brad Wheeler will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. EST at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
