Mrs. Mary Frances Avery, 86, of LaFayette, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2020, at her home.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2020, 2 p.m. CST at Essie J. Handy Memorial Cemetery in LaFayette. The Rev. Gary L. Dixon; officiating.

Mrs. Avery is survived by her children, Hayes (Dorothy) Avery, Jr., David (Ruby) Avery and Doris (Jerry) Avery, all of LaFayette; her sister, Ann (Richard) Lightfoot of Atlanta; her brother, Edward (Connie) Williams of Douglasville, Georiga; her goddaughter, Khisawanna D. Holloway of Atlanta; two sisters-in-law, Josephine Avery and Shirley Hughley, both of LaFayette; two brothers-in-law, Jack Avery and Buster Avery, both of LaFayette; 13 grandchildren, Tiffany (Demetrius) Harrington, Tammy Avery, Lee Avery, Tywanna Avery, Tommy (Jackie) Avery, Stephanie Jackson, Ebony Mitchell, Valencia Avery, Lisa Williams, Shawn (Chanika) Hodge, Jessie Swint, David Swint and Cherl Smith; 19 great-grandchildren a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
