Mrs. Lynda Faye Lott
1947-2020
Mrs. Lynda Faye Lott, a 72-year-old resident of West Point, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2020, at EAMC Lanier Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Lott was born on Saturday, July 19, 1947, in Paris, Texas. She is the daughter of the late James and Jessie Duke McGrew.
Mrs. Lott was a wonderful mother and grandmother who was known for her biscuits. Her children called her the “Booger Woman” because she would chase them around the house. She was a stay home Mom before working at Piggly Wiggly for 15 years. Mrs. Lott was a member of Roper Heights Baptist Church. She was married to the late Walter Lott for 45 years.
Survivors include her children, Barbara Lott, Rodney (Carmen) Lott, Ashley Lott and C.J. (William) Thames; her granddaughter, Amber Lott; her great-grandchildren, A’Miracle Lott and Zaden Lott; her brothers and sisters, Karon Byrd, Christina Russell, Pattie Aldy and Edward McGrew; and her best friend, Charlsie Hewett.
She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Jasmine Lott; her brothers and sisters, Doris Kennedy, Frances Fruchette, Michael McGrew, Donna Hubbard and Debra McGrew.
The family will greet friends Sunday afternoon at the Chapel of Bluffton Funeral Services from 1 p.m. EST until 2 p.m. EST, with the funeral beginning at 2 p.m. EST. The Rev. Aaron McCullough will officiate.
